Indecon International Consultants (“Indecon”) are seeking candidates for the role of Divisional Director to lead on a range of interesting and challenging projects as part of their growing Strategy, Governance and Change Management practice.  Candidates should have practical senior-level experience and expertise in the management and successful delivery of significant programmes and projects in areas that include Corporate Governance; Change Management; Organisational Development; Business Analysis, Process Improvement and Service Design.

 

Successful applicants will be assigned to manage the team and lead on the delivery of a portfolio of challenging and interesting projects for our clients which may include:

Person Specification:

 

  • You will need proven experience of driving the effective delivery of complex projects with multiple workstreams, including people, process, technology and relevant sector-specific dimensions, across the entire project lifecycle.
  • You will be experienced in the leadership of team resourcing, problem-solving, decision-making, stakeholder engagement, service design, process improvement and innovation. This will include the ability to plan effectively and manage teams of consultants engaged in the delivery of a broad range of projects, supporting the delivery of the optimum outcomes for our clients on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for this role. You will need to be able to present professionally and engage credibly with senior stakeholders across a wide range of client organisations to support the delivery of better business outcomes and engage meaningfully with client staff members and service users at all levels.
  • You will be required to lead the Indecon team(s) in conducting workshops and interviews (using relevant technology, as required) and will quickly develop a detailed understanding of our clients’ core business and operating environment, be responsive to their requirements and lead on the development of recommendations that will deliver tailored outcomes that meet their needs.
  • You will be expected to work closely with the relevant Indecon Partner(s) to drive the activities of Indecon Team(s) across the entire project lifecycle, coordinating with external specialist subject matter experts as required.
  • Your approach will be grounded in practical delivery that will support the design, build, and testing of any changes that may be required on foot of recommendations, applying relevant change management methodologies and providing client support and training activities where required to do so.

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality project outputs that align with the relevant client requirements and meet the exceptional standards that are core to Indecon’s values, culture and ethos;
  • Strategic programme and project planning, risk management and resource planning in the context of a busy Strategy, Governance and Change Management practice;
  • Direct engagement with clients and various stakeholders to facilitate project delivery and successful change outcomes;
  • Developing innovative solutions that meet our clients’ strategic, governance and changing business needs;
  • Leading and collaborating with Indecon colleagues to drive efficient project delivery, optimising the use of technology; driving continuous improvement and supporting collaboration and staff development within the team;
  • Supporting the change readiness and change management aspects of projects by developing implementation plans, supporting the preparation of training materials and facilitating post-implementation reviews and lessons learned, as required.
  • You will support the development of the practice and will develop proposals in response to client requirements and tenders.

 

Qualifications and skills required for this role include:

 

  • 10+ years’ experience within a consulting firm or in a relevant project management environment (a strong track record of achievement in management consulting/change management/transformation and innovation/strategy development/strategic HR/organisational development/corporate governance is a benefit).
  • Familiarity with, or an ability to quickly develop an understanding of the public service and the political environment in Ireland would be a significant advantage.
  • A strong academic record, including a relevant third level/postgraduate degree (e.g. Business Studies, Strategic HR/Organisational Development, Organisational Psychology, Project Management, Public Administration or Information Technology).
  • A strong background in project leadership and resource management, with experience in applying best practice project management, change management, transformation, and organisational design methodologies and approaches.
  • A track record of developing the team and mentoring consultants.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, workshop and online facilitation skills, both in person and using remote technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent ICT skills, to support digital transformation internally and for our clients, particularly in relation to emerging technologies.
  • Lean six sigma or other relevant certification/qualification would be an advantage. PMP/PRINCE2/Agile experience or certification qualification preferred.

 

The role is based in Indecon House, 4 Clyde Road, Dublin 4.  Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available.
